Chalk Effect Climbing Project
Chalk Effect Climbing Project

The Chalk Effect Climbing Project is a physical, mental and social exercise that aims to offer support through indoor rock climbing for those struggling or suffering with their health and well being - be that issues with addiction, anxiety, mental health or depression. In conjunction with the physical aspects of climbing, we encourage honest and open communication of fear and trust in everyday living.

Chalk will offer much more than a climbing experience that teaches safe climbing practices; it is a wonderful opportunity for people to face their fears, improve communication techniques, build relationships, enhance confidence and self esteem and to become socially active regardless of age, ability and background in a safe environment.

The project is based in West Cornwall and primarily aimed at the users within the mental health and GP services, but is open to all.

Founder of The Chalk Effect, Jordan has been climbing from a very young age. He has used climbing to help him through his own struggles with addiction and mental health and has found it to be the only thing that has helped him physically, mentally and socially. Wanting to give back and offer others the same opportunities, he started The Chalk Climbing Project.
